Infraserv Höchst and GIG, a facility-management provider with operations throughout Germany, have formed a joint venture to provide full-service operation of industrial sites, particularly in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life-science and high-tech industries. GIS Infrasite GmbH maximizes benefits for customers by providing the most effective all-in-one mix of services along their value chain. With its expertise, it can home in on cost-cutting opportunities in secondary processes – an important way for many manufacturers to hone their competitive edge, particularly in economically challenging times.

The two joint venture partners are an excellent fit. As an operator of advanced infrastructure for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, Infraserv Höchst can look back on plenty of experience – and success. Industriepark Höchst, which hosts more than 90 chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms, has performed extraordinarily well in recent years. Last year alone, tenants invested more than EUR 600 million in the 4.6-km² park. With its efficient infrastructure services and innovative solutions for manufacturers' secondary processes, Infraserv Höchst plays a major role in Industriepark Höchst's vigorous development.

GIG GmbH is also extremely successful. The company was established in 1998 as a provider of integrated facility-management (FM) services and boasts an impressive track record with growth rates ranging from 30 to 100 percent a year. GIG has made a name for itself in the FM market as a specialist for industrial and complex commercial real estate. It currently has over two million square meters in total useful area and approximately 30,000 dwelling units under management in industrial and commercial properties at more than 40 locations in Germany and Austria. The FM provider's core competencies include high-tech facility management and engineering as well as the planning and operation of building services and clean-room systems for industrial and commercial properties.

Together with Infraserv Höchst's infrastructure services, the two partners can offer all-in-one service packages for industrial sites.

GIS Infrasite has been in business since April 1, 2009 and maintains an office in Berlin in addition to its headquarters in Frankfurt.
