Inspection and handover management for the Lufthansa training center

Conference hotel with 483 rooms
81 training and seminar rooms
5 conference and event rooms

Industry: Airline; Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Cologne

Ready for takeoff! Anticipation hung in the air at Deutsche Lufthansa AG, one of the world's premier airlines with demanding quality, safety and reliability standards for its services: In the first quarter of 2009, it opened its new Lufthansa Training & Conference Center (LTCC) in Seeheim-Jugenheim – right on schedule. The LTCC is one of the most advanced conference hotels in Germany. With its multifunctional event rooms, state-of-the-art media systems, and hotel rooms in Lufthansa colors, Seeheim is a training center that embodies Lufthansa's corporate culture in day-to-day interactions, a place where innovative ideas and traditional values go hand in hand. To ensure no delays held up this important project, Lufthansa engaged Infraserv Höchst as a consultant to support the handover of the LTCC from the builder to the new facility-management provider. Infraserv Höchst helped to draft the operating plan, assisted with the building and technical inspections, and reviewed the as-built documentation for the operational handover to the future facility-management provider. In other words, it laid the groundwork for the LTCC operating company to manage the property smoothly and efficiently.

The bottom line

Before the construction work was done, Infraserv Höchst quickly prepared for the new training center to be handed over to the future facility manager. The LTCC started receiving hotel guests and hosting conferences while construction crews remedied defects and put the finishing touches on the building. Infraserv Höchst managed and coordinated the contractors to ensure trouble-free workflows. That allowed Deutsche Lufthansa AG to focus on what it really wanted to do at the LTCC – welcome its guests. A three-point landing!
