Vocational training: industrial firefighter (f/m/d)

Infraserv Höchst’s industrial fire brigade is one of the largest fire brigades serving the chemical and pharmaceutical industry in Germany. We can train you to be an industrial firefighter (f/m/d) as long as you have graduated from a secondary school program (Abitur, Realschulabschluss) or have otherwise met all the criteria needed to attend a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife).

Our trainees rotate through many training sites in Hesse in the course of their three-year technical education program. As a trainee, you will complete basic firefighter training, become a fully qualified EMT, acquire a C/CE commercial driver’s license and then take your final qualifying test at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Since we train to meet our own internal needs, we generally make employment offers to the trainees who graduate from our program.

As an industrial firefighter (f/m/d), you can rise through the ranks to become a lieutenant or captain.

What our employees say

The industrial firefighter program is really wide-ranging. It covers key skills and technical fundamentals but also focuses on fire protection and safety. I learn how to save lives and fight fires at the scence of an emergency.

It never gehts boring around here. Infraserv Höchst keeps me moving with fascinating, wide-ranging work and pays me well on a collectively bargained pay scale. My prospects will be great after graduation.
